Hiliadou Beach Evia
Located in Central Evia, Hiliadou is a small seaside resort which comes alive in the summer months and has one of the most beautiful beaches on Evia Island.
It has a huge sandy beach that stretches out about 1.5 km long along the coast, surrounded by high, forested mountains which face the deep blue Aegean Sea. On a clear day you can see islands of Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonisos.
Hiliadou beach has limited tourist facilities and there are only a handful of seaside cafe bars, restaurants and fish tavernas, Hiliadou Beach is one of the best kept secrets of Evia and you wont find much information in guidebooks about it. It is mostly visited by vacationers from Athens or Halkida.
There a few small hotels located on the beach and some mom & pop run rooms for rent accommodation as well as free camping near the beach next to a small stream with lots of trees.
Hiliadou also has a large secluded nudist beach which is separated beach by a large rock which is very famous for its beauty. You can reach it by a path that connects to the main beach.
To reach Hiliadou beach it is about 2 hours from Halkida by car. The road has many twists and turns but it is quite scenic with amazing views of the mountains and forests while passing through some of many picturesque villages along the way such as Steni, Stompones and Dirfis Mountain.
