Kos Island

The island of Kos, which is located in the heart of the Dodecanese Islands cluster at the Aegean Sea between the island of Kalymnos (in the north), the island of Nissyros (in the south) covers an area of 290 mē, has a coastline of 112 km and has approximately 27,000 inhabitants.

Kos, the capital and main port of the island, after its destruction by earthquakes in 1933, was rebuilt by Italians and now is full of broad roads, open squares, palm tree chains and impressive buildings, while the castle at the entrance of the port predominates and the archaeological findings all over the town adorns the scenery even more.

Touring around the island you will come across traditional and picturesque settlements as well as cosmic and modern regions, not to mention the amazing natural beauties that shall definitely impress you.

The tourist center Kardamena, the ancient capital Kefalos, the much frequented Tigaki, the cosmic Marmari, the traditional Antimahia, the central Mastihari, the beautiful Asfendiou and the developing Agios Fokas are the most interesting destinations of Kos.
