Limnos Island
According to mythology, Limnos was Hephaestus' workshop. Due to its strategic position in the Aegean Sea, it played a very important role during the Neolothic Period as the crossroad of people, culture and commerce. The capital of Limnos is situated near the ruins of the ancient city of Myrina where one can visit the Byzantine Castle and many other ancient finds, take a walk through the pebbled streets and the captains' traditional houses with their wooden balconies.
The wonderful beaches with the clear waters, the ancient ruins, dated from the Neolithic to the Bronze age, and the Lemnian hospitality make the island an ideal place for an interesting and relaxing vacation.
